Rahima Begum, a 32-year-old mother of two from a small village in rural Chattogram, once struggled to support her family. Her husband worked as a daily laborer, but the income was irregular and often not enough to cover basic household needs.

In 2022, Rahima joined a skills development training program organized by RWWS. Through the program, she learned tailoring and small business management. The training also provided guidance on budgeting, saving, and managing small orders from local markets.

After completing the training, Rahima started a small home-based tailoring service with a sewing machine provided through the program. At first, she began by sewing clothes for neighbors and relatives. Gradually, her reputation for quality work spread, and she started receiving more orders from nearby villages.

Today, Rahima earns a steady income and contributes significantly to her family’s financial stability. She is able to support her children’s education and help with household expenses. More importantly, she has become a role model for other women in her community.

Rahima now encourages other women to participate in training programs and believes that economic independence has given her confidence, dignity, and hope for a better future.
